Spain is one of my favourite destinations to visit, full of nice gluten-free places! This time I visited Barcelona.
Barcelona is the capital and largest city of the autonomous community of Catalonia, as well as the second most populous municipality of Spain and extremely gluten-free friendly.
During my stay, I had the pleasure to visit lots of nice bakeries and restaurants!
Gula Sana
Carrer de la Diputació, 361, 08009 Barcelona, Spain
If you like homemade cakes, this is the right place for you! They also have a savoury alternative, if you are not a sweet kinda person.
Tuscania
Carrer de Mallorca, 434, 08013 Barcelona, Spain
During my first full day, I was walking around and a sign on the street caught my attention, “GLUTEN-FREE” was all I needed!
This lovely Italian restaurant offers gluten-free options and as Italian, as I am, I could not resist getting a pizza during my holiday! Such a cliche but who cares!
Amiette
Carrer de Calàbria, 65, 08015 Barcelona, Spain
Amiette was one of my favourite bakeries during my trip. Right down the street of the hotel I was stying, this bakery offers bread, cakes, pastries and the list goes on and on. I only have one regret, I didn’t get enough of Amiette! I paid them a visit twice, but I could go there every day, this is for how I found delicious their products!
Jansana
Carrer de Balmes, 106, 08008 Barcelona, Spain
Another pearl in this beautiful city. Jansana offers lots of different gluten-free options, from fancy sandwiches to delicious pizzas, from high elaborate desserts to traditional Spanish finesse. It took me ages to decide what to get!
Pasticelia
Carrer de París, 165, 08036 Barcelona, Spain
This lovely bakery coffee shop is a peaceful piece of paradise in this busy city. The perfect location for enjoying some relaxing time and cakes, of course!
Conesa
Carrer de la Llibreteria, 1, 08002 Barcelona, Spain
This was actually a random discovered. I was craving some food after a long day walking around.
I found this place via Google and I was so surprised to find such a nice place with a big gluten-free menu in their options. They have a separate area to make gluten-free sandwiches and they even wrapped my baguette in a paper sealed with a gluten-free sticker.
They won awards for their efficiency and I can totally see why! So safe and extremely tasty!
Gelateria Italiana Dino
Carrer de Sants, 98, 08014 Barcelona, Spain
After that delicious baguette, I felt I needed something sweet, so why not an ice-cream on the go with a gluten-free cone?!
Two Hotel Barcelona by Axel
Carrer de Calàbria, 90-92, 08015 Barcelona, Spain
This beautiful hotel, located in the middle of the colourful gay area, is not just stunning and, as they say, hetero-friendly (for all my straight gluten-free babes), but it has a very nice breakfast with a gluten-free option. If you ask, they will also provide you with even more gluten-free options!
These were some of my highlights during my trip to Barcelona.
