Traveling Gluten-Free: Palma de Majorca

I spent a lovely week in a warm and shiny paradise here in Europe. This time I decided to fly not too far from home, visiting Palma de Majorca, in Spain.

Majorca is a beautiful island, in the Illes Balears, just a couple of hours by flight from London.

I stayed in Palma, which was lovely, full of beautiful places to visit and explore.

Some of them were food related, obviously!

So here the places I visited and some tips I can give you.

Foam Coffee

2, Passatge Particular Joan XXIII, 07002 Palma, Illes Balears, Spain

As soon I arrived, I was starving for a nice breakfast! Walking around I found  Foam Coffee with a big and rich menu, with a gluten free option!

I went there twice, trying 2 different baguettes!

St. Lorenzo Tapas Glutenfree

Carrer de Sant Llorenç, 22, 07012 Palma, Illes Balears, Spain

Walking around looking for a place to have dinner, I found St. Lorenzo, Tapas Glutenfree, it was a Monday night and I found it closed, LOL. So do not do like me, do not go on a Monday Night!

Everything, yes I said everything is gluten free so it really depends what you are fancy for! You can find typical Spanish dishes and more!

I have tried: Calamares a la Andaluza, Pizza Mexicana, Milanese de Pollo and cheese cake as dessert!

MyMuyBueno Deli

Floor 1, No.1, Carrer de Tous i Maroto, 5B, 07001 Palma, Balearic Islands, Spain

Looking for another place to have breakfast, I found an amazing and friendly place where I do believe magic is made. Everything was soooooo delicious and gluten free!

Also here, we have so much option that it is so hard to pick, or you can do like I did, pick as many things you can possible eat! We live once, we can not waste a good gluten free place when we found one. #canIhaveanamen

Little suggestions, cakes are the best! My favourite was the blueberry cheesecake!

Paella, Paella and Paella!

One of the things I promised myself during this trip was to eat as many paella I could possible eat!

Here 2 places you have to check!

Es Baret

Avinguda de Gabriel Alomar, 10, 07006 Palma, Illes Balears, Spain

Friendly staff and food is extremely delicious!

Centro Comercial s’Escorxador

Carrer de l’Emperadriu Eugènia, 6, 07010 Palma, Illes Balears, Spain

Here you can find lots of very nice and fancy places for a quick lunch!

Overall it has been a great experience! Very gluten free friendly, pretty much all the supermarket has a gluten free shelf and everyone in shops and restaurants knows what’s that about.

Once again, Celiac Disease did not stop to travel and see the world. How about you?

Share this with your friends and family and let me know if it has been helpful. 🙂
