Just got back from my trip in Japan, which was INCREDIBLE!

It is now time to get back to work and get a list of tips to help people, like me, who has a gluten problem but does not want to give up their dreams and wants to travel the world!
This stop is for Japan babe!
Here few tips to help you to get ready to travel to Japan if you have a gluten intolerance.
Knowing the country you are traveling in.
It is essential knowing where we are traveling in, to know what type of gluten free option they have. Especially when we travel to Asia where the celiac disease is not really known.
About Japan, so far it is probably one of the most gluten free friendly country I have been in Asia, just because I found more products that do not contain gluten in their ingredients. So do not be afraid to look online and get to know the country you will travel in, this will help to enjoy 100% your holiday, without thinking too much.
Before my trip, I made some research to understand which snacks or food to eat and which restaurant I could visit. I will talk and give more info about this in the next topic.
Get and print the Gluten Free card.
This is probably one of the most important thing we need to have in our documents, together with our passport and the flight ticket!
On this essential website you can find the link to download the ”Gluten Free Card” in Japanese. Really helpful at the restaurant, which it makes much easier our journey in a country where we can not speak the language and it might be diffucult.
Portable WIFI.
For the first time ever I have travelled with a portable WIFI and it has opened my world, FOR REAL GURL!

Not just for getting directions around the streets but because it has been essential every time I wanted to translate something on Google Translate, using the camera option, to make sure to translate each ingredient and make sure it did not contain any gluten. Just amazing!
And to not count as well that time at the restaurant where I just wanted to tell the waitress for some meat with the sauce on the side, so I could grill it with no problems at the Korean Barbecue restaurant in Akihabara, in Tokyo. I just used Google Translate and BOOM all done in view seconds. Love it!
Travel with that, it will be your new bff!
Bring some snacks.
When I travel, I am used to bring some gluten free snacks all the time. A bit to deal with the awful flight food and a bit because we never know what we can expect from a foreign country.
So put some of your favourite snacks in your bag and get ready to PARTYYYY!

That’s all for now folks!
I will talk more about snacks, food and restaurants in the following posts, so do not miss them!
Please feel free to let me know what you think about traveling in Japan with a gluten intolerance, or just leave a comment to say whatever you wanna say!
